Flames Of Resentment

I seldom express how I really feel
The rage inside, the lacklustre appeal
I’ve longed to remove the protective seal
And offer the world a shocking reveal

I seldom encounter a friendly face
As I stumble around this desolate place
It’s hard to react with respectful grace
When all they see is an empty space

I seldom discover a safe way to turn
Such contemptuous looks from the collectively stern
No progress is made with no lessons to learn
So, these flames of resentment will continue to burn
